Vishal Sikka’s AI Startup Hang Ten Systems Raises Additional $53 Million

Hang Ten Systems has secured another $53 million just five weeks after its initial seed round, taking the AI startup’s total funding to $85 million.

Hang Ten Systems, the artificial intelligence startup founded by former Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka, has raised an additional $53 million in seed funding, just five weeks after closing its initial $32 million round. The latest investment brings the company’s total funding to $85 million.

The new round was led by Xora, Temasek’s early-stage investment platform. Mayfield, which led the startup’s first funding round, also participated. Other investors include Aramco Ventures, Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan, Micron CEO Sanjay Mehrotra and Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang, who also serves on Hang Ten’s board.

Founded in May 2026, Hang Ten is focused on helping large enterprises use AI to build, modernise and maintain software. The company typically targets businesses with more than $10 billion in annual revenue and combines AI strategy with software development services.

Sikka told TechCrunch that the company’s approach reflects a shift in software development, where AI can reduce the time and cost involved in building software. Hang Ten says its focus is on defining requirements, validating systems and using AI-driven development rather than simply producing code.

The startup says it is already working with 21 major enterprises across the US, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. Its customers and engagements include companies such as Fresenius Kabi, Saudi Aramco and Siemens Energy, while the startup has also secured multiple seven-figure contracts and is pursuing larger deals.

Hang Ten currently has around 20 to 25 employees across the US, Middle East and Australia and plans to expand its engineering, consulting and sales teams. The company also expects to hire in Europe and India as it grows its enterprise operations.

The startup operates in a competitive enterprise AI market, where major AI developers and traditional IT services companies are expanding their offerings. Hang Ten says its differentiation lies in adapting AI to complex enterprise software projects through its in-house framework and reusable AI capabilities.

Before Hang Ten, Sikka co-founded enterprise AI startup VianAI after leaving Infosys in 2017. VianAI raised $50 million in seed funding and later secured $140 million in a 2021 funding round led by SoftBank Vision Fund 2.
