Vivo, OPPO Prepare Major October Phone Launches
The Vivo V80, Vivo S2 FE and OPPO F35 series are set to arrive in India, with a possible Vivo foldable launch also drawing attention.

India’s smartphone market is set for several launches in early October, with OPPO scheduled to unveil its F35 series on October 5, followed by the Vivo V80 and Vivo S2 FE on October 6. Vivo’s X Fold6 foldable smartphone could also make its India debut, although the company has not officially confirmed the launch.
The Vivo V80 is positioned as a camera-focused smartphone. According to 91mobiles, the device will feature Zeiss-branded cameras, a 6.59-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 7,200mAh battery supporting 90W fast charging. It is also expected to run OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.
The V80 is tipped to start at ₹63,000 for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. Higher configurations with 256GB and 512GB storage could cost ₹70,000 and ₹80,000, respectively. These prices remain unofficial ahead of the launch.
The Vivo S2 FE will launch alongside the V80 at noon on October 6. Its reported specifications include a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e processor, a 50MP rear camera and a 32MP front camera. Leaks also point to a 10,000mAh battery, although Vivo has not confirmed the complete specifications.
The S2 FE is expected to be priced between ₹30,000 and ₹40,000. A reported box price of ₹39,999 for the 6GB RAM and 128GB storage variant has surfaced, but the final retail price and launch offers remain unconfirmed. The device is expected to be sold through Flipkart, Vivo’s online store and offline retailers.
OPPO’s F35 series is scheduled to launch on October 5 and is expected to include the F35 5G and F35 Pro 5G. The lineup is focused on selfie photography and content creation, with reports pointing to a 50MP ultrawide front camera and enhanced skin-tone processing. The Pro model is also tipped to support 4K video recording from both its front and rear cameras.
The OPPO F35 5G is tipped to cost around ₹35,000 to ₹40,000, while the F35 Pro 5G could be priced between ₹44,000 and ₹50,000. Both figures are estimates rather than confirmed retail prices, and final specifications may vary.
Vivo’s X Fold6 is another possible launch candidate for October 6, but its India debut remains unconfirmed. Reported specifications include an 8.02-inch inner AMOLED display, a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super Edition processor and a 200MP primary rear camera. An overseas listing suggests a price equivalent to around ₹2.2 lakh, but this is not an official India price.
The upcoming launches target different buyer priorities, from photography and selfie features to battery capacity and foldable designs. Consumers should wait for official prices, confirmed specifications and availability details before making purchase decisions.
