The AI cybersecurity startup raised $255.5 million in Series B funding, backed by Andreessen Horowitz, Accel and other investors.

AI cybersecurity startup Armadin has raised $255.5 million in a Series B funding round, valuing the company at more than $2.5 billion. The company announced the funding on October 1, 2026, as investors continue to back businesses developing security solutions against AI-driven cyberattacks.

The funding round was co-led by Andreessen Horowitz and Accel. New investors Bain Capital Ventures and Redpoint participated alongside existing backers, including Google Ventures, Kleiner Perkins, Menlo Ventures and In-Q-Tel.

FUNDING MILESTONE
Armadin raised $255.5 million in Series B funding at a valuation exceeding $2.5 billion, taking its total funding to $445 million.

The company plans to use the new capital to expand its cybersecurity platform, research and development, training programmes and go-to-market operations.

Armadin develops an AI-based security platform that uses coordinated groups of AI agents to identify weaknesses in computer systems. The agents simulate attacker behaviour to help organisations discover vulnerabilities and potential attack paths before malicious actors exploit them.

AI-DRIVEN SECURITY
Armadin's platform uses autonomous AI agents to simulate cyberattacks and identify exploitable security weaknesses in enterprise systems.

The startup was founded by Kevin Mandia, who previously founded cybersecurity company Mandiant. Google acquired Mandiant in a transaction valued at approximately $5.4 billion in 2022.

The latest investment reflects growing investor interest in cybersecurity companies developing tools to address emerging risks from advanced AI systems. As AI tools become more capable of automating complex tasks, security providers are exploring ways to use similar technology to test defences and identify weaknesses more continuously.
