Neeraj’s Javelin Helps Rohit Win Bronze
Rohit Yadav won Asian Games javelin bronze with an 84.35-metre throw using a signed javelin gifted by Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra.

Yadav said he would remain grateful to Chopra and planned to keep using the javelin in future competitions. After the event, he also received a congratulatory voice message from Chopra, who encouraged him to enjoy his first major international medal and continue working towards future goals.
India achieved a double podium finish in the men’s javelin event at the Games. Yashvir Singh won silver with a personal-best throw of 85.72 metres, while Sri Lanka’s Rumesh Pathirage claimed gold with 88.55 metres. Chopra’s absence due to injury made the Indian athletes’ performances particularly significant for the country’s javelin programme.
Yadav, who hails from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, said his future ambitions include earning entry into Diamond League competitions, qualifying for the World Championships and ultimately competing at the Los Angeles Olympics.
