Dipke Invokes Gandhi, Ambedkar and Nehru
At a Gandhi Jayanti protest in Mumbai, CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke links the three leaders' legacy to demands over alleged voter-roll irregularities.

Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke invoked Mahatma Gandhi, B. R. Ambedkar and Jawaharlal Nehru during a protest at Mumbai's Shivaji Park on October 2, 2026, marking Gandhi Jayanti. He described Gandhi as the soul of India, Ambedkar as its backbone and Nehru as its mind, highlighting their contributions to the country's political and democratic foundations.
Dipke criticised the BJP-led government and Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in electoral rolls linked to the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process. He demanded Kumar's resignation and called for a criminal case against him, restoration of electoral rolls to their pre-2024 Lok Sabha election status, and cancellation of the amended Representation of the People Act.
Dipke warned that the party would organise further protests in other cities if its demands were not met. He also indicated the possibility of a renewed demonstration at Delhi's Jantar Mantar, which he described as 'Jantar Mantar 2.0'.
The CJP founder connected the legacy of Gandhi, Ambedkar and Nehru with voting rights and democratic participation. He urged young people to look beyond religious divisions and raised allegations of political interference and voter deletions. These claims were part of the party's protest campaign.
The protest formed part of a wider political debate over electoral-roll revisions. The Election Commission has said decisions on the revision process were taken unanimously by majority and has modified procedures to reduce inconvenience to voters. Allegations of wrongful deletions remain contested.
