DoorDash to Create 3,000 Jobs in Hyderabad
The US food delivery company has opened a global technology hub in Hyderabad that will initially employ 500 professionals and expand over the next two years.
US food delivery company DoorDash will create 3,000 jobs in India over the next two years through a new global technology hub it opened in Hyderabad on September 30, according to the Telangana state government. The centre will initially focus on customer support and general and administrative functions.
The Hyderabad hub will begin operations with around 500 professionals and will become DoorDash's third customer-support-based service centre globally, alongside facilities in Tempe, Arizona, and Mexico City. The new centre will support DoorDash's global operations.

DoorDash plans to create 3,000 jobs in India over the next two years, starting with an initial workforce of about 500 employees at its Hyderabad hub.
The Hyderabad facility is DoorDash's second technology office in India. Its first is in Pune, where the company has software, data and analytics operations following its 2021 acquisition of robotics startup Chowbotics.
DoorDash's expansion comes as global companies increasingly use global capability centres, or GCCs, in offshore technology hubs. Such centres allow companies to build in-house capabilities while reducing reliance on external technology contractors.

A 2026 Nasscom-Zinnov report cited by Reuters estimates that India has more than 2,100 global capability centres employing about 2.36 million people and generating nearly $100 billion in revenue.
DoorDash joins a growing group of international companies expanding their presence in Hyderabad, including Costco, McDonald's, Charles Schwab, Marriott and Southwest Airlines, which have established offshore centres in the city in recent months.
The new hub strengthens DoorDash's presence in India's technology and operations ecosystem while adding Hyderabad to the company's network of global support and technology locations. The centre is expected to expand its workforce as DoorDash builds out its operations over the next two years.
