CBI Chargesheets RCom in ₹3,750 Crore Case
The CBI has filed a chargesheet against Reliance Communications, two former Reliance ADA Group executives and a former LIC investment chief over alleged financial wrongdoing linked to a ₹1,500 crore debenture investment.
The case forms part of a wider CBI investigation into alleged financial irregularities involving several Reliance ADA Group companies, including RCom, Reliance Home Finance Ltd, Reliance Commercial Finance Ltd and Reliance Telecom Ltd. The agency has registered multiple cases based on complaints from public sector banks, LIC and the Employees’ Provident Fund Organisation.
The CBI said further investigation would continue to establish the roles of other individuals and examine additional allegations. The chargesheet marks a further step in the legal proceedings, while the allegations against the named accused remain subject to judicial consideration.
